Our Team of Advisers & Consultants
David Cohan
MBA, MPH, SRES, CSA

David has spent over 25 years helping seniors in numerous areas, and is, among other designations, certificated as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE), Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES).  Following his graduate studies at the University of Washington, where he earned both an MBA and a MPH, with a concentration in Long-Term Care, David moved to Los Angeles where he completed a post-graduate Fellowship at the Jewish Home for the Aging.  Since then, he has taught Strategic Planning for Healthcare organiztions at Chapman University and broadened his services in to Nursing Home and Assisted Living Administration, Real Estate, healthcare consulting and related areas.

Gina Salman
  RCFE, SRES, CDP

Gina has worked in multiple capacities in Assisted Living Facilities and has helped open 2 different facilities from the ground up, as the Executive Director with different organizations.  She has extensive experience with Administration of Assisted Living Facilities following her work for several years helping elderly real estate clients and families and volunteering throughout the community. Gina consults with Senior Supporters in an array of specialties.

Katherine Lerner
MSW, CRC

Katherine Lerner is a Certified Geriatric Care Manager and is a member of the National Association of Certified Care Managers, and ALCA (Aging Life Care Association).  She has a BA and a Master’s Degree in Social Work both from the University of California, Berkeley.

As a Geriatric Care Manager Katherine is experienced in Geriatric Assessment and advocacy and obtaining the appropriate assistance for each client’s optimum well-being and safety.  As a  Medical Social Worker for many years, she also has a particular understanding of how aging, illness, and disability impact both client and family.

Lori Michiel
NASM-CPT

Lori Michiel, founder of Lori Michiel Fitness™, is a well-known, published professional specializing in senior fitness. She is certified as a Senior Fitness Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Lori provides private consultations and creates personalized fitness programs for those with chronic conditions such as Parkinson’s, arthritis, diabetes, osteoporosis and other ailments to enhance safety and quality of life for seniors.

Stephanie Williams

Stephanie is a corporate lawyer, and has practiced for 27 years.  She brings significant board experience to Senior Supporters.  Stephanie has also taught ethics and legal writing at Loyola Law School for the last 23 years, and has devoted significant pro bono time to community organizations.  Her work with seniors includes handling cases of elder abuse, nursing home and Medicare fraud, and estate issues.  Moreover, Stephanie helped care for several elderly relatives, and knows the joys and heartbreaks of navigating housing, health care, and quality of life issues with aging family members.  In fact, Stephanie and her husband were clients of Senior Supporters, and Stephanie joined the board because the Senior Supporters advice and services were invaluable to her family.

Lenore Lustig
            Consultant

Lenore has worked for many years assisting elders with their business ventures, finances and estate planning.  She is a Paralegal with over 25 years of experience as a Small Business and Corporate Trainer, HR, and Benefits Specialist.  She is energetic and empathetic and has extensive experience with many aspects of senior planning as well as business development, organization and planning.

Rebecca Goldfarb
Attorney, Consultant

Rebecca is an experienced, compassionate and a detailed estate planner and elder law attorney who provides peace of mind for her clients by creating comprehensive estate plans and updating them when needed. With every client, she strives to build life-long relationships to enable her to serve as an advocate for her clients for generations. She treats her clients like family and is passionate about her work! 

On a personal note, she is the mom to a terrific little four year old girl and is a nature and animal lover. They enjoy time with their horses and cat.
